The renowned magazine STEREO tested our new B77 MK III Stereo Tape Recorder - Alice Cooper Limited Edition in their offices and in their own laboratory.
“The absolute sensation of this issue, however, is the unveiling of the new Revox B77 MK III. This limited edition not only impresses with its extraordinary design, but also with its incomparable sound fidelity. Whether for collectors or those in search of the best sound, the B77 MK III is a must-have.” (STEREO 06/2025)
The editor responsible for this article, Matthias Böde, is a proven audio and analog audio expert.
His judgment is therefore a very well-founded one. And it was VERY GOOD!
The 7-page test report has now been published in the current issue, which is being published to coincide with the HIGH END 2025, and the B77 MK III is featured very prominently on the front page.
Excerpts from STEREO 06/2025:
"An all-new B77
What could have passed as a more or less extravagant campaign to revive a tape recorder myth seems, against the background of current events, like the overture or the test run for a much larger project that seems to have fallen out of time in view of the wide range of digital recording and playback media: an extensively redeveloped B77 MK III.
The B77 MK III in the lab
Revox's new one performed very well in terms of measurement technology.
The same applies to sound: 'no limits'
Munyungo Jackson's immensely richly shaded 'Columbiana', captured by David Manley's Vital label in a way that was as complex as it was transparent with R&R equipment, also benefited from this - the Revox precisely captured and outlined the situation, including the actual acoustics of the wood-panelled hall in which the inspiring recording had once taken place. A listening experience in a class of its own!"
The Alice Cooper Limited Edition (Stereo Tape Recorder, Turntable and Master Tape as well as Master Vinyl) will be presented live at the HIGH END in Munich:
May 15 - 18, 2025, Revox booth Hall 2, G02/J03
It's worth stopping by! We look forward to seeing you!
