The REVOX WORLD FOUNDATION, as established in the notarized founding deed of June 2026, is a foundation dedicated to the acquisition, collection, preservation, and exhibition of mechanical music players—particularly those of the Revox brand—in a museum accessible to the public and interested parties in the Canton of Zurich or the greater Zurich area.

The foundation is managed by an appointed board of trustees tasked with safeguarding and making accessible the world’s largest existing collection of Revox and Studer products. The foundation pursues exclusively charitable purposes.
The former private collection “Studer Revox Museum,” comprising all of Walter Stutz’s Studer and Revox equipment, has now been transferred to the “REVOX WORLD FOUNDATION” for the purpose of historical preservation and conservation. As a result, the entire collection of approximately 800 devices, along with all the numerous documents, files, photos, measuring instruments, and prototypes, is now part of this foundation.

REVOX WORLD
Spanning over 1,000 square meters, this innovative experience center combines sound culture, technical innovation, and over 75 years of audio history. At REVOX WORLD, visitors can embark on a journey through time, exploring the milestones of the legendary audio brands Studer and Revox—from 1948 to the present day. From original, iconic tape recorders from the early years—which were also used for broadcasts from the Swiss Parliament and by radio stations and recording studios worldwide—to today’s premium audio systems, tape machines, turntables, and speakers that set new standards: The majority of the classic exhibits are also in perfect, fully functional condition—many of them are impressively showcased in live demonstrations.
REVOX WORLD is a special place dedicated to preserving and further developing cultural exchange and technical heritage—and to fostering education, inspiration, and enthusiasm for music and technology.
